It sounds silly, but trying to figure out what to do with you hair can be stressful. What if it goes flat? What if it gets frizzy? What if I’m sweating profusely and can’t stand it on my neck?! Hey, we’ve all been there, and today I’m going to show you my go-to hairstyle for all of those situations.
Start with brushed hair – no tangles! Then, flip your hair over to the opposite side of your part.

Grab a piece of hair and split into two sections.
Tie those two pieces into a knot and tighten to secure.
This is when it becomes very similar to a french braid, so if you’re familiar with that, you should be good to go! If you aren’t familiar with french braiding, just grab small sections of hair near each existing piece and add it in.
Then knot those together! Make sure you tighten each knot, because that’s what will make this stay put.
Keep adding hair and knotting until you get to the base of your neck.
Gather the rest of your hair into a bun without disrupting the hair that feeds into the knots.
Secure with a hair tie and bobby pins if necessary.
And that’s it! I love to wear this style when I’m traveling, browsing street festivals, or even just hanging out on a hot summer day. Will you give it a try?!
